GLOBAL GEOLOGICAL MAPS
CGC has a data library of global geological maps of varied resolutions. With its umbilical ties to the University of Cambridge, CGC has ready access to publications as old as geology itself giving us the unique advantage to assess any global region for potential fields using the ready geological maps.
Vectorisation and analysis of RV data within GIS programs form the essential first steps of geological modelling. CGC's team is proficient in GIS techniques using them as stepping stones for integrated modelling workflows.
In addition to lithostratigraphic modelling, GIS Models are also regularly used as an input for seismic velocity modelling and density modelling within the seismic processing and gravity interpretation workflows respectively.
2D GEOLOGICAL PROFILES AND 3D SUBSURFACE GEOLOGICAL MODELS
GIS tools assist in primary data display and statistical analysis of 2D and 3D data. CGC takes the inherent GIS functions and integrates them with new-age 3D modelling functions offered through various 3D modelling software (Geomodeller, GSI, FEM and DEM) to achieve precise geological models of the subsurface.
